Shoulder Pain Management

Nonsurgical Treatment

Many shoulder conditions may be treated with non-surgical approaches prior to considering surgical options. For non-traumatic causes, non-surgical treatment may be appropriate for a time span of 3-6 months. If the patient does not respond to the treatment either by experiencing pain relief or regaining function of the shoulder after 3-6 months of non-surgical treatment, referral to a shoulder specialist may be appropriate.
